La Contessa is a hillside villa on an estate near the town of Porto Ercole on the Monte Argentario. The Monte Argentario is a promontory in the Tyrrhenian Sea, connected to the mainland near the town of Orbetello. It is well known for its large villas, fabulous seaside views, and chic small towns such as Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano.

Access to La Contessa is through an electronic gate and a drive up the hillside to the villa. The villa is very large, and develops on several levels to accommodate all the sleeping areas. There is a very long terrace that runs the length of the house, facing the Cala Galera, a yacht basin, the old fort of Porto Ercole, and the sea beyond. The large main living room, dining room, and master bedroom all have access to the terrace through screen doors. There is modern art throughout the entire house, a glass collection, as well as some antique furniture. The furnishings are comfortable and light (there is a lot of wicker furniture), befitting a house by the sea. The living room is very large, and has fireplace. The dining room has a very large table and is furnished with old armoires. The nearby kitchen is large, with several sinks and food preparation areas, along with two large refrigerators. There is a laundry room off the kitchen and a door leads to a side terrace with a built-in dining table.

There are three bedrooms on this main level, including the master bedroom with a queen-sized bed (two twins together using antique wood head and low footboards). The bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with bathtub and a small terrace off the bathroom. Also on this level are a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower), a twin bedroom and a bathroom (shower).

Access to the other bedrooms is via a metal staircase in the living room and another off the dining room. One area has a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom (shower), and a double bedroom and a single bedroom that share a bathroom (bathtub).This rooms are provided with AIR CONDITIONING The other area, off the dining room, has a single bedroom and a double bedroom that share a bathroom (bathtub).

There is also an outdoor eating area under a wooden roof.
