LANDIANA GARDENS COUNTRY LODGE park and swimming pool Main house n. persons 10 n. of rooms 6 bathrooms 5 Guest apartment n. persons 4 n. of rooms 2 bathroom 1 Apartment n. persons 5 n. of rooms 3 bathrooms 2 The Landriana Gardens are located in the farm owned buy the family of the Marchese Gallarati-Scotti and his wife, Lavinia Taverna, close to the village of Ardea and the neighbouring of Tor San Lorenzo (now turned on a suburban area of Rome), on the southern coast of Rome (about km.35 from the city) The country lodge of the family Gallarati Scotti is immersed in 10 hectares of gardens. The garden was designed by the English pays gist architect Russell Page in 1967 using the variety of plants that the Marchesa Gallarati Scotti was growing in the area. The country lodge is a large house surrounded by verandas where it is possible to eat or seat in the shadow, while admiring the flowers. Around the large swimming pool there is also a barbecue area to eat outside. The place is peaceful and comfortable. The house is built in two floors everywhere there are windows to go out in the garden. The parking area is on the back of the house and trough a porch the visitors may enter in three houses: the main house, the guest apartment, the small apartment. "Main House" description: At the ground floor of the main house there are the entrance hall with sofas and a large window on the garden, and stairs to reach the second floor. The dining room is in a long room with tables,chimney, chairs, TV and bookshelves. The main living room is a vast room with sofas to seat about 25 people, and tables. In the living room there are many windows to go out in the veranda and a door bringing to a smaller living room or studio where to concentrate in privacy. The service area (with a back door)has a huge kitchen, laundry, and more rooms. A few stairs up bring to the guest bathroom. At the first floor (13 steps) there is one double bedroom with chairs, and a en-suite bathroom (bathtub), a room with twin beds and bathroom en-suite (bathtub), two single rooms (one with a French size bed, cm.140) and one bathroom (bathtub), one double bedroom with bathroom en-suite (bathtub), one large double bedroom with bathroom en-suite (bathtub), terrace. Guest House The "guest apartment" is situated in the ground floor under the porch. It is composed of two bedrooms with twin size beds and of one bathroom (shower). "The apartment"description: Always at the first floor from the garden there is the entrance of the apartment were there is a living room and at the first floor there is one single room with bathroom, one room with twin size beds and a double room, one bathroom (bathtub). There is air conditioning in all the bedrooms. Bathrooms are simple but provided with all the necessary, not all rooms have the same size and some of them are provided with TV. Minimum n. of rooms to book is 8 rooms (the villa will be at exclusive use). Breakfast will be served with fruit juice, bread, marmalade, croissant, coffee, milk, tea. Meals are provided under request. Landriana is situated very close to the beach (about 3 Km) but the proximity of Rome makes this area too crowed, so it is advised to reach Circeo or Sabaudia or Pontine Islandsw (taking the aliscafo at Anzio) for a beautiful day on the sea. To reach Rome there is the train or the car.
